The Centre for Ethics, Politics and Society at the University of Minho (CEPS UMinho) invites expressions of interest from qualified candidates to apply for a fixed-term research position under the Scientific Employment Stimulus Program funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). Each position will be funded up to 6 years to carry out their activity in re-search centers in Portugal. The selected researchers will be hired by the Center through FCT fund-ing. In 2020 the FCT will fund 300 positions in all scientific domains, at various stages of career, according to the following scheme:
Junior researcher: Ph.D. researchers who have obtained their degree within the last 5 years, with limited experience in post-doctoral research (net salary range 1.400-1.500€ — 14 installments/year);
Assistant researcher: Ph.D. researchers who have obtained their degree earlier than the last 5 years, with research expertise in the scientific area of application and limited scientific independence (net salary 1.800-1.950€ — 14 installments/year);
Principal researcher: Ph.D. researchers who have obtained their degree earlier than the last 5 years, with research expertise in the scientific area of application and proven scientific independence over the previous 3 years (net salary 2.100-2300€ — 14 installments/ year);
Coordinating researcher: Ph.D. researchers who have obtained their degree earlier the last last 5 years, holding the Portuguese qualification of ‘Agregado’ or ‘Habilitado’, with a curriculum of high merit and recognized leadership in the scientific area of application (net salary 2.350-2500€ 14 in-stallments/year).
